Meet Margot

Hi! I am Margot Wurst, Certified Christian Life Coach. I am also a member of the Adoption Triad ~ a birth mother. I lost my son to adoption in 1974, when he was just one day old. David and I were reunited in June, 1999, after he made the decision to search for me! My life is forever transformed! My passion is working with members of the Adoption Triad ~ and family members and friends of Triad members.

I have lived a very successful life by all outward appearances. After David’s adoption, I continued my life, acting as if nothing had happened. I somehow fell into the trap of silence and secrecy – that toxic secret to which you may relate.

I pursued a 20+-year career in the mortgage industry. During those years I held numerous management positions with large corporations. I genuinely cared about the people to whom I was responsible – I coached them! During the 1990’s, I was a successful self-employed Real Estate Salesperson. I always took the time to coach my clients through the sometimes emotional and overwhelming process of buying and/or selling property. I also had my own Business Coach during my real estate sales career. I’ve always been a coach and understood the value of coaching.

During these years, I “was in charge of my own life”. I actually remember saying to God, “I’ll get back to you. I’m going to do things my own way for now.” What audacity! I consciously chose to ignore the fact that Jesus is the ultimate Life Coach. One major decision I made during this time, was to marry a wonderful man who is not a Christian. As time went on, my relationship with God was even less of a priority. Unfortunately, my 20-year marriage did end in divorce.

One day, in June, 1999, I received a telephone call from a lady who was searching for me on behalf of my son. In the instant I knew this was the call I’d always longed for, I also released the tension that had been holding my secret inside me for almost 25 years. I sobbed uncontrollably and tried to carry on a conversation at the same time! A couple days later, David phoned me for the first time! A few days after that, we met face to face, for just the second time ~ in almost 25 years.

Seeing my son again instantly reconnected me with my heart! How could it not! He is my heart! I hadn’t realized fully, until that moment, I had been walking around on auto-pilot for all those years. So began this wonderful adventure of reunion! David and I enjoy a very good relationship! I also have a great relationship with his adoptive mother. We want the best for David and we are supportive of each other.

God didn’t give up on me! He was right by my side every moment! He has showered me with gifts and blessings. He chose to gift me with my son – for the second time! David is my inspiration. God also brought my childhood sweetheart back into my life! We were married in August, 2004. My husband is a Christian. And, through my reunion experiences thus far, I have come to realize my passion and God’s purpose for my life!
