Relationships

Commitment to and intimacy in relationships can be challenging to some adoptees and birth parents. Forgiveness can be an issue for some.

God created all of us as relational beings. Our relationship with God is our most important relationship. He has called each of us to be his friend. As we gain deeper understanding of this, and as our relationship with God becomes more intimate ~ our other relationships begin to positively change and grow!

Life Balance

Each of us needs to devote sufficient time to nurturing our self on the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional levels. Worship, Work, and Play must be kept in healthy balance. Ignoring life balance concerns usually results in being driven by circumstances.

Your personal vision of life balance must be based on your core values. Life Balance is an ongoing process - it doesn't "just happen". It requires intentional effort on your part. The result is a more satisfying, authentic life!

Life Vision

Is it possible that your adoption-related experiences are meant to serve as stepping stones to a God-given vision for your life?

Again in "My Utmost for His Highest", Oswald Chambers writes, "God gives us a vision, and then He takes us down to the valley to batter us into the shape of that vision. It is in the valley that so many of us give up and faint. If you ever had a vision from God, you may try as you will to be satisfied on a lower level, but God will never allow it."

Spiritual Life
